It's Time To Try Again

It has been some many months since I last posted. I have been writing some observations on Facebook - but often find it "creepy" for lack of a better word. Since I know my FB "readers" comprise a certain more-or-less pre-defined universe, and I know who they are, I believe I temper and edit my comments too much. As a result, my actual thoughts are often lost. I also find myself rushing to post - and therefore make many errors - both mechanically and substantively. So, although I do enjoy Facebook and will continue to post and read updates, I will attempt yet again to write in this spot on a more or less regular basis. I realize that I will most often be the sole person interested in what I discuss or who finds something amusing, ironic, or maddening. Nevertheless, I enjoy writing and this format provides a bit more freedom without the expectation of "likes" or comments. I will endeavor to use complete words and sentences, and not resort to a style that often removes "communion" from the act of communication in our time.
